About

The Edward Steves Homestead, a French Second Empire mansion, was built in 1876 by Edward Steves, a German-born immigrant. The home opened to the public as a house museum in 1954 and displays a period interior with family furnishings and collections.

The Edward Steves Homestead is owned by the San Antonio Conservation Society and is currently operated by Villa Finale: Museum & Gardens.
