The Edward Steves Homestead offers free admission to self-guided tours (10:00am to 3:00pm; Tuesday through Sunday) for members of participating Museum Month organizations or their employees. Please show your membership card or work ID for admission. Please check villafinale.org for any closures or schedule changes.
The Edward Steves Homestead, a French Second Empire mansion, was built in 1876 by Edward Steves, a German-born immigrant. The home opened to the public as a house museum in 1954 and displays a period interior with family furnishings and collections.
The Edward Steves Homestead is owned by the San Antonio Conservation Society and is currently operated by Villa Finale: Museum & Gardens.
